1. Information We Collect

• Website Visitors & Comments: When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, alongside the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help with spam detection. An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it (Gravatar privacy policy: https://automattic.com/privacy/). After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public.
• Media Uploads: If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included, as visitors can download and extract this data.
• Client Information: When you engage us for web or mobile development, we collect your name, business name, email address, phone number, and physical address.
• ReportMe Platform Data: For schools utilizing ReportMe, we process data on behalf of the school. This includes student and guardian records, academic and behavioral data, and financial records (such as fee balances).

• Comment Cookies: If you leave a comment, you may opt-in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies for your convenience, so you do not have to fill them in again. These last for one year.
• Login Cookies: If you visit our login page, we set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser. When you log in, we set up several cookies to save your login information (lasts for two days, or two weeks if you select “Remember Me”) and screen display choices (lasts for one year).
• Publishing Cookies: If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie is saved indicating the post ID of the article. It contains no personal data and expires after 1 day.

• Service Delivery: To provide custom development services and operate the ReportMe platform.
• Payment Processing: We share necessary transaction data with Paystack to process project and subscription payments securely. We do not store credit card or mobile money details.
• Spam Detection: Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
• Legal Compliance: We will disclose information if required by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.

• Comments: If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely to recognize and approve follow-up comments automatically.
• Registered Users: For users that register on our website, we store the personal information provided in their user profile. Users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
• ReportMe Data: School data is retained for the duration of the school’s active subscription and is securely maintained according to our service agreements.

• Data Isolation: Each school using ReportMe has its own separate database.
• Encryption: Passwords are stored encrypted and cannot be read back by anyone, including our technical staff.
• Strict Access Control: System access in ReportMe is governed by role-based permissions (e.g., parents see only their own children’s records).
• Audit Trails: Every financial entry, access change, and published result is logged with the responsible officer and timestamp.

8. What Rights You Have Over Your Data

• Data Export and Erasure: If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
• School Data Control: Schools retain full ownership of their ReportMe records. Parents or students seeking to access, correct, or delete their educational records must contact the school’s administration directly.
